Through The Trees is a 12” x 16” dry pastel painting on pastel paper.
I love being surrounded by nature. Countryside walks among the trees, sky-scapes and grasses all inspire me. I want to capture the wonder it fills me with and the life within it in artistic form.
I enjoy incorporating gestural and energetic mark making and looking for the hidden colours in the original image scene.
Through The Trees was inspired by a walk through the Kent countryside at Golden Hour, just before the sun was setting.
Dry pastel requires fixative to keep the pigment on the page, this painting has been “fixed”.
Upon purchase it will be packaged protected under glassine paper to reduce smudging, inserted in a cellophane protective sleeve and shipped in a Do Not Bend envelope with extra card insert to keep from bending.
